LATE-night revellers in Bromsgrove are being asked to think back to the early hours of Saturday morning when more than 20 cars were vandalised.

Bromsgrove police are appealing for information after a spate of attacks, which left cars with smashed windscreens, windows and wing mirrors in the Charford and Aston Fields area.

There were also reports of vandalism to cars in Alvechurch.

Sgt Brian Russell said a wide variety of vehicles were attacked, including Fords, Rovers, BMWs and Vauxhalls.

"The offences are believed to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, and it may be that some people could have been returning from a night out and saw something suspicious in this area. I would ask them to contact me," he said.

Smashed

Fastfit Windscreens, in Buntsford Park, said five cars were brought to them on Saturday morning with smashed front, side or back windscreens.

One man from Charford was left to foot a bill of more than £6,000 after both his car and his wife's fell prey to the vandals.

Sgt Russell said: "There have been a lot of people left having to pay for this damage.

"We need to know who is committing these acts of damage as soon as possible to make sure no other cars are damaged."
