ALAN Maund made light of his three stroke handicap reduction to record another medal success.

After winning the Saturday medal, Maund, now playing off 25, fired 84 for a nine-under-par net 59.

In second was Clive Brown whose 83-23-60 edged Graham Potts with a score of 85-22-63 into third place.

Of the 22 competitors 11 scored under nett par, an indication of how favourably the course is playing.

In Saturday's Summer League fixture only six of 22 players failed to shoot under par as they took advantage of ideal golfing weather.

The lowest of the rest was Collis Fisher who played off 21 and carded a gross 81 to nett 60 an excellent return to the leader board after a long absence.

James Newman 75-14-61 only just missed out on another first spot but nonetheless still records an points score maintain his league position.

Tor Turner did himself a favour with his card of 79-18-61 to amass a presentable 20 points to add to his league total.

The club's rules' experts enjoyed another success in the National Rules of Golf Quiz at the Worcestershire Golf Club in Malvern for the Worcester County Quarter Final heat and were happy to leave with a win under their belts and a semi-final clash with Tewkesbury Park Golf Club.

The Perdiswell Ladies Summer League heat was won for the first time by Beverley Fentiman.

Her card of 102-39-63 gave her a one stroke advantage over Olwyn Griffiths 101-37-64 and Alison Roberts was four strokes adrift in third spot.
