MEMBERS of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing in Huntingdon Hall on two occasions as part of the Worcester Three Choirs Golden Jubilee Fringe Festival.

The concerts will be played by Live-a-Music, an independent ensemble of RPLO players who tour local community venues, on Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and 11, starting at 1pm on both days.

Entitled 'Across the Divides', the repertoire seeks to dispel the myth that all music composed a century ago was written by white middle-class men. It includes pieces by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, William Yeates Hurlstone and Dame Ethel Smythe.

The National Youth Brass Band will also be playing, in Worcester Cathedral on Sunday, August 10, at 7pm, as part of the Fringe Festival. Under the baton of celebrated conductor Elgar Howarth, the magnificent 90-piece band will perform a variety of concert favourites.

Tickets for all the events are available from the Three Choirs Fringe Festival Box Office on 01905 611427.
