"GIVE us two quid and all will be well!" Another envelope through the door, donations will be collected in the next few days.
But why, I ask, are these requests never accompanied by just a teeny slip of paper showing how my £2 will be spent? A breakdown of current expense or some idea of financial expenditure by this charitable organisation?
No one really doubts the sincerity of those asking charitable donations but a little more light on their finances would help!
