MALVERN Sea Cadets have teamed up with Malvern Social Education Centre (SEC) to recycle aluminium in a bid to win sponsorship to improve their facilities.
Using the name "Green Team" the organisations aim to hit targets set by the Aluminium Packaging recycling Organisation (Alupro) for the amount of aluminium foil and cans they collect.
If successful, they will receive up to £500 in vouchers from Alupro, which the cadets will use to decorate their headquarters and SEC will put towards making homes for birds, bats and others in their Creature Comforts zone.
"This is a brilliant opportunity for them to increase their recycling activities and gain an extra reward for all their hard work," said Ros Sheppard, of Alupro.
