ON behalf of the Midland Musical Theatre Group, I am writing to say a very big "thank you" to the 1,400 patrons who were in our audiences when we presented Singing and Dancing in the Reign at Malvern's Forum Theatre on June 16.
Thanks to their support, we have been able to make substantial donations to charities such as Whiz Kidz to provide a specialist buggy for local children, and also to make contributions to the Charity Funds held by the Chairman of the Malvern Hills District Council, the Mayor of Malvern Town Council and the Mayor of Worcester.
We are very pleased that this one-off show, to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee, should also have provided a financial outcome to benefit worthy causes.
Thank you patrons - see you at Malvern in November when our next production is The Rhythm of Life.
ALEC TAYLOR,
Publicity Manager,
Midland Musical Theatre Group.
