YOUNG Malvern footballers Aaron Almond, aged 10, Jamie Waterhouse, 10, and David Millwall, 11, will be visiting Leicester City later this month to take part in the Midland Area Final of the Adidas Skills Challenge.
The three lads beat off competition from over 280 children throughout Worcestershire to secure their place in the next round of the national competition.
The event was held in June at Kidderminster Harriers Soccer Courses in Bromsgrove, Worcester, Droitwich, Malvern and Kidder-minster. The lads had to score points in four events, which included Gerrard Passing, Del Pieiro Shooting, Dyer Dribbling and Beckham Free Kicks.
They join Kidderminster lads Andrew Powell, 10, Jordan Crumpton, 10, and Ben Stanley, 11, at Leicester and will be competing against children representing other Midland clubs, including Wolves, Aston Villa, Derby County and Birmingham City.
The winner of this round will progress to the National Final in October.
Harriers are holding a summer holiday course at Dyson Perrins HS for the week beginning August 12.
