J KELK (You Say, July 17) needs more fact-based arguments before deciding on the euro.
Will he ever get any? The so-called five tests appear to be just pie-in-the-sky and totally unreliable.
The Government can't be trusted to tell us the truth (on anything) and the Conservatives exhibit their usual silence - saying very little about everything. So what can he do?
He should just ask himself if he wants us to lose our sovereignty. For it's certain that, if we join, we shall end up losing all that has been built up over a thousand years.
It will be gone forever. God forbid. At the end of the day, we must never join the euro.
E F SHOWELL,
Worcester.
