HARNESS racers from all over the country flocked to an event staged to raise cash for Acorns Children's Hospice Trust.
More than 1,000 spectators turned up to watch the racers, at Haylers End Farm, Hanley Swan, near Malvern.
Punters were handed a race card outlining the horses' form to help them place their bets on who would trot home first.
Yesterday's event, organised by Dave and Kath Shellam and Ivor and Pauline Stokle, from the Three Counties Harness Racing Club, went "very well", said an Acorns spokeswoman.
"They were able to hold all the races despite the weather," added the spokeswoman.
"It was a great day and there was a really good crowd. There were even more people there than last year."
Organisers raised £2,000 for the charity with last year's event and are confident that they will beat that amount, once this year's cash is counted.
