A Worcester artist has shifted Malvern 1000 miles south to the Mediterranean in an exhibition of her latest work.
Patricia Marshall has painted scenes from around the Malvern Hills using warm colours to give the landscape a Mediterranean feel.
"I have painted the Malverns before in cool colours like blue," said Ms Marshall, who is based in Bath Road, Worcester.
"But this time I used warm Mediterranean colours like reds and oranges.
The exhibition, called Malvern and the Mediterranean, will run at the Barry Jackson Rooms, next to The Malvern Theatre, from Saturday August 10, to Saturday, August 17.
Ms Marshall became a professional painter after she left her London-based interior design company.
"I had burn-out and this is something I had always wanted to do," she said.
But Ms Marshall has not left the world of interior design for good and also works as a designer and Feng Shui consultant.
She will soon start work to redesign the rooms of the Mount Pleasant Inn, in Great Malvern.
The hotel will be given a hint of Lord of the Rings and the rooms will be named after characters from JRR Tolkien's books.
"The rooms are not like a film set really, but there will be a subtle connection, giving them a bit of flavour," she said.
"It will be an artist working as artist and designer to regenerate this old hotel."
