HEREFORDSHIRE wrapped up victory with a day to spare against Dorset with Kevin Cooper claiming his 200th wicket for the county.
Cooper took 6-32 and Martin McCague 4-42 as Herefordshire coasted to a comfortable eight-wicket win and 20 points which leaves them second in the Minor Counties Championship.
The day had started in less than promising fashion for Herefordshire with the loss of Ravi Nagra and Martin McCague in consecutive deeliveries.
However, after slumping to 67-9, a record ninth wicket stand of 62 between captain Chris Boroughs (73) and Paul Thomas (four not out) helped the home side to reach 129 all out -- the same total as Dorset's first innings.
Dorset were then whittled out for just 75 in their second innings as Cooper and former England fast bowler Mc-Cague took advantage of the helpful conditions at Luctonians.
Wicketkeeper Ismail Da-wood notched up his 62nd dismissal -- a record for Herefordshire -- and struck the winning runs with a six as the home side finished on 81-2 (Paul Lazenbury 42).
