FORWARD Andy Wright is set to be out for six weeks with a knee injury, making the need for new strikers all the more important at Stourport Swifts.

Player-boss Tim Langford is already planning the first two Dr Martens League Western Division matches without Kerry Giddings who is suspended.

Langford, also a striker, may not risk himself in tonight's county derby at home to Worcester City (7.45pm).

Veteran trialist Dennis Bailey, who scored against Telford on Saturday and has attracted the interest of Redditch among other clubs, will not play.

But it is hoped the 36-year-old former Birmingham City front-man will play the final friendly at home to his old club Halesowen Town on Friday.

Wide-man Richie Gardner returned to play for Swifts on Saturday after an unsuccesful trial at Telford.

Worcester, meanwhile, could include new midfield signing Pat Lyons who suffered brusing in a recent reserve game.

Winger Jamie Edwards will also be looking to impress again for manager John Barton on trial.
