WINYATES biker Andy Burbidge has set his sights on a top seven finish in the New Era club event at Mallory Park on Sunday.

Burbidge tops the EMRA club series and is riding alongside more powerful machines in the New Era to broaden his experience.

And after straightening out his bike frame and competing on racing slicks for the first time he is brimming with confidence.

Burbidge tried out the new slicks in the New Era meeting at Silverstone at the weekend and was delighted with tenth places in a 42-strong field, the biggest entry of the year.

If he can get a top seven finish at Mallory it will be his highest finish of the year.

And the Redditch youngster has been invited to the British Superstocks race at Thruxton at the weekend as a guest of the Redditch-based Legs 11 team.
