THE threat of being put before magistrates appears to have stopped drivers continually using a bus-only route in Redditch town centre.
Motorists were warned they would be put before the courts if they were stopped more than once driving along Church Green and Unicorn Hill, which have been closed to traffic for more than 18 months.
The get-tough stance came after police were forced to hand out 68 tickets in just three weeks - with 33 £30 fixed fines issued in just 90 minutes.
