CONTROVERSIAL plans for four new homes in Webheath were due for the green light last night despite strong objections.
Plans to build the houses off Foxlydiate Lane were deferred for a site visit by councillors and for a police report.
Residents had highlighted increased traffic and visibility concerns among objections.
A police report stated the short stretch of road was 'very undulating and narrow in places', visibility for drivers was 'quite restricted' in places, traffic flows had dramatically increased following a large development and although the lane was covered by a 30mph limit, speeds of above 45mph were 'a regularity.'
