THE front of a brand new £1 million town centre pub may have to be altered just five days after opening, the Advertiser can reveal.
Last night, Redditch councillors were set to debate the future of the front signage to The Pinnacle pub in Alcester Street.
Planning officers recommended a retrospective planning application for the front of the pub be refused on the grounds it was severely detrimental to the look of Alcester Street.
A planning spokesman said: "There is a conservation area just above the premises and the pub needs to be kept in keeping with the street style."
