EARLY findings from the latest 20:20 Vision event reveal Abbeydale residents feel their area has real potential.
Residents said everything they needed was in one area and the standard of community relations was high during the on-day consultation event at Community House, Easemore Road.
They also like being close to the town centre and not too far from Birmingham.
The event was part of Redditch Partnership's campaign to identify neighbourhood priorities and find out what people want for the borough and their local areas by 2020.
Other issues raised as part of the planning process for a borough-wide Community Strategy included transport, more bobbies on the beat, vandalism, traffic control, cinema, alcoholism and children's play facilities.
Views were gathered using consultation methods which included residents being asked to identify their likes and dislikes by placing flags on a map, filling in questionnaires and writing on a graffiti board.
Similar events took place at Trinity High School and Oakenshaw Community Centre on Saturday.
The Crabbs Cross consultation will be held on Sunday, September 22 during the Evesham Road events organised as part of the Government initiative In Town Without My Car Day.
Additional events are also planned for Headless Cross, Webheath and Callow Hill.
