AN Alan Ayckbourn trilogy of three 'furiously funny' new comedies comes to Malvern Theatres this month before a West End run.

Damsels in Distress, which incorporates Game Plan, Flat Spin and Role Play, is being staged at Festival Theatre from Monday, August 19, until Saturday, August 24.

The plays have been written to be performed by the same cast of actors on the same set and each also features a damsel in distress.

The original Stephen Joseph Theatre company of actors Robert Austin, Saskia Butler, Bill Champion, Tim Faraday, Jacqueline King, Beth Tuckey and Alison Pargeter will stay together for the tour.

Game Plan will be performed on Monday, August 19, at 8pm and 2.30pm on Thursday, August 22, Flat Spin at 8pm on Tuesday, August 20, and Thursday, August 22, and Role Play at 8pm on Wednesday, August 21, and Friday, August 23.

Game Plan begins at 11.30am, Flat Spin at 3.30pm and Role Play at 8pm on Saturday, August 24.

Tickets cost £12-£18 or £36 for an all-day Saturday ticket from 01684 892277.
