AN energetic Bromsgrove resident is setting the wheels in motion for an annual bikeathon to raise cash for research into leukaemia.

Nicole Harris, of Redditch Road, is helping to organise the event in aid of the Leukaemia Research Fund.

Nicole is the chairman of the charity's Bromsgrove branch.

She is looking for people from both Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa to take part in the ten or 26-mile-route, starting from Mere Hall, in Hanbury, on Sunday September 8.

She said: "We are looking for as many people as possible to take part in the event and any marshalls that can also help out on the day.

"This is sure to be a fun day out."

Anyone wishing to enter can pick up an information pack from Halfords or Baylis Furnishers, in Bromsgrove High Street, or Speeds, in Birmingham Road.

Alternatively call Nicole on 01527 878493.
