REDDITCH skipper Nev Mason admitted his side were relieved when the heavens opened in the match against Wroxeter at the weekend.
The league leaders had Redditch at 67 for eight when a rain-hit match was finally abandoned and the hosts were thankful for four points from a match sponsored by DASH Motors and Go-Man Couriers.
Only two Division Two West fixtures survived the inclement weather with Wednesbury beating Pelsall and Penn seeing off Penkridge.
The Bromsgrove Road side entertain second from bottom Kington on Saturday (12.30pm start) but Mason, who is doubtful again at the weekend, is set to resist the temptation to throw in too many youngsters.
Spencer Cox is on holiday and Axel is doubtful with a suspected broken thumb, picked up at the weekend.
