AN Alcester schoolteacher has won his way to an all expenses paid trip to Costa Rica with Earth Watch.
Foster Richardson will be flying out to Costa Rica on Sunday for his trip with five other teachers from the UK and six teachers from the United States.
Mr Richardson, who teaches computer studies at St Benedict's High School, will be studying the Costa Rican environment and more specifically insects and plant life in the tropical dry forest of the South American country.
The research Mr Richardson will be doing goes right to the heart of what a tropical dry forest is.
And Mr Richardson, a former High Bailiff, also hopes to bring back some of the new skills to St Benedict's and put them into practice.
Mr Richardson is leaving Alcester for three weeks and returning just in time for the new school year at St Benedict's.
