ALCESTER has been identified as a possible target for burglars stealing keys to high value cars.
Crime prevention packs are now being given out to people in a bid to warn motorists after a spate of house burglaries where criminals have stolen car keys and then taken the vehicle from the owner's driveway.
DS Lindsay Shaw, from the southern area community safety department, is focusing on cars like BMW, Audi or Mercedes and other sports or high performance models.
Police have advised owners to put the car in a garage and deter criminals by making sure car keys are always stored in a concealed and secure place and not on view.
