DEAR EDITOR - 'Droitwich people treated as no marks that vote every four years'.

I can only agree with Graham Edwards, the Droitwich residents deserve all that they get.

The council will ride roughshod over them unless they make their views known 'emphatically'.

Currently there have been 683 responses to the Wychavon Local Plan Review.

The council produce questionnaires that look like junk mail, so that we don't respond, and produce a local plan that covers so much that the average person does not have time to comprehend its significance.

The power groups are losing because of your lack of support, so prove to Wychavon District Council that you are not country bumpkins or commuting yuppies.

Oppose Waitrose on the Saltway Car Park;

Oppose the demolition of The Worcestershire Hotel.

The building must be preserved, possibly as a convalescent home to save bed-blocking in the NHS, or as a craft/trade centre.

Have your say. Unless you do in sufficient numbers the 'council urban terrorists' will succeed.

Jim Brant,

Droitwich.
