SEVENTY-three per cent of child seats checked at a Redditch drop-in session were insecurely fitted and needed altering.
Assistant road safety officer Barbara Wood arranged the session at Halfords Superstore.
Three of the seats tested had been fitted professionally at the time of purchase but two were incompatible with the vehicles and could never have been fitted securely.
A further session is being planned at Halfords on Tuesday, September 10, from 4-7pm.
Parents concerned about the fitting of their child seats in the meantime can call Barbara Wood at Redditch Town Hall on 64252 ext 3085.
