MOTORSPORT: Kidderminster's Simon and Michael Hawthorn scored well for the second Heart of England Rally Championship in a row in their 2.1-litre Ford Escort.
S Hawthorn's 70 points at Quinton Rally in Wales put him 19 behind Jon Adams and James Wardle, of Shrewsbury, who head the forestry challenge of the series with one event left.
Championship rules allow contenders to count their best six scores from nine events and the Davies brothers, Oliver and Ben, from Highley lead with 361 points.
They are 125 ahead of the Hawthorns and seem set to win entry to the Monteburg Rally Sprint in Belgium next May.
The next round of the championship is the Woodpecker Stages in Ludlow on August 31.
