A STAR of the future -- that's what Andrew Corbett has the chance to be with Kidderminster Harriers.

And if he ever hits the big time it will be all down to Aggborough boss Jan Molby.

The former Liverpool star believes the up-and-coming striker has 'definitely got something' and proved it by handing the 18-year-old his full Nationwide League Division Three debut at Halifax Town last Saturday.

For talented Corbett it was another major step in his Harriers career which began as a schoolboy and has progressed through the club's youth and reserve team set-up.

He was rewarded with a one year contract at the beginning of the campaign.

Molby said: "He's had a very much in and out season and I'm not talking about playing games as he's hardly played many. I'm talking in terms of training.

"He started off very well like you would expect from a young kid and then found it more difficult and tiring. But I've just sensed he's starting to come back. He's looked very sharp and stronger."

Molby felt the blossoming youngster did 'exceptionally well' at Halifax, saying: "His movement was good, he took up some good positions and he found himself in three goal scoring positions in the second half.

"One left foot shot he scuffed wide, a header which he did very well to get to went just over the bar and he also tried to chip the keeper with the outside of his right foot. He was there in the right positions.

"I like him because he's got good movement and his attitude is absolutely spot on. He trains well every day."
