TWO armed men put a woman through a terrifying ordeal after storming into her home in broad daylight.

Police are hunting the baton-wielding intruders who trashed the woman's Kidderminster home, threatened her with violence and vowed to kill her dog.

The victim, in her mid-50s and who was alone at the time, was punched three times in the shoulder but was otherwise physically unharmed.

But a spokeswoman for Kidderminster Police said she was very shaken by the 45-minute experience which began at noon on Tuesday.

The episode began when the two men entered the Stourbridge Road property through an unlocked back door as the woman was watching television.

They demanded money and one ransacked the living room while his accomplice went through other rooms, although nothing is thought to have been taken.

After the pair left the terrified resident fled to a neighbour to call the police.

Both suspects are white, of slim or medium build, about 30-years-old and 5 ft 10 ins tall.

One had straight, black, collar-length hair, blue eyes and pale skin.

He was wearing a red polo shirt and dark blue jeans.

The other had black curly hair and tanned skin and wore a pair of light blue trousers.

Det Insp Adrian Todd, of Kidderminster Police, said: "We are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the area and might have seen a vehicle that the men were using, or anyone else who was visited at their home by men fitting their description."
