Kidderminster Harriers are hoping skipper Ian Clarkson will win his fitness fight in time to face Lincoln City in tomorrow's Nationwide League Division Three clash at Sincil Bank (3.00).

The key defender missed last Friday's home goalless draw with Rochdale because of a hamstring injury.

Harriers assistant manager Gary Barnett said: "His rehabilitation has gone well and everything our physio Jim Conway has asked him to do he has done.

"Hopefully he'll have no reaction to it and if he doesn't then he'll be in the squad tomorrow."

Striker Ian Foster is continuing his battle to recover from a troublesome hamstring injury following a visit to a specialist on Wednesday.

"He had manipulation and now he's resting. We are hoping that by the weekend, fingers crossed, it will have done the trick, " said Barnett.

Goalkeeper Tim Clarke is still building up his fitness following a knee operation while midfielder Barnett is nearly over his hamstring problems.

"Hopefully, I'll be joining in training in the early part of next week," he said.

Midfielder Dean Bennett suffered no reaction to a groin injury during the clash with Rochdale, although the problem is being closely monitored.

Defender Steve Pope joined the casualty list this week when he picked up an ankle injury in Kidderminster's 4-4 Central Conference draw with Worcester City at Aggborough on Wednesday night.

Harriers boss Jan Molby said of the trip to lowly Lincoln: "They are a big, direct and physical side. They have had a little bit of a mixed start to the season, but they have had a couple of good results at home.

"Again it's one of those places where if you don't stand up and be counted then they will turn you over. But, on the other hand, if we can get it down and play then we will have a chance".

Molby pin-points Lincoln defender Steve Holmes as a potential threat to his side's hopes of securing their second away league win of the season.

"He's done a good job for them over the years and he gets his fair share of goals from centre-half. He's a real danger from corners, long throws and free kicks.

"Normally, it's not centre-halves you have got to look out for in terms of goalscoring, but we will have to keep an eye out for him."
