CHADDESLEY Corbett warmed up for the West Midland League Division One South campaign with a 5-1 friendly victory over Premier team Ettingshall Holy Trinity.
Ettingshall began confidently at Stourport Wednesday's Kidderminster-based ground but could not threaten the Chaddesley back-line.
And the villagers hit back to take the lead when Alex Taff ran onto a through-ball and lobbed the advancing keeper.
Ettingshall should have equalised after a midfield mix-up but Lee Elliott shot wide with the goal at his mercy.
And just before half-time Andy Shuck scored Chaddesley's second with a header.
The second half really belonged to Chaddesley with 18-year-old Taff particularly impressive.
Last season's top scorer Craig Pratt added Chaddesley's third and Shuck headed home another.
The injured Andy Potter was replaced by 16-year-old Craig Moule, another promising young player.
Ettingshall pulled one back through Elliott but Richard Burton soon nodded Chaddesley's fifth.
Ettingshall were awarded a late penalty but Elliott's powerful spot kick was saved brilliantly by Anthony Shuck.
Chaddesley, still looking to strengthen their squad, hope to find several new players for the weekend's friendly with Two Gates.
Two of their players, Alex Kilgour and Craig Webb, have both been training with Stourport Swifts in a bid to make the step up to Dr Martens League football.
After a two-year absence, Jeff Elliott has returned to Chaddesley as assistant manager.
Fixture, Saturday: Chaddesley Corbett v Two Gates (kick-off 2.45pm at Stourport Wednesday ground, players meet at Brintons Oldington for 1.45pm).
