KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Jan Molby believes that Andy Ducros will be like a "new player" once the pint-sized midfielder hits top form.

Ducros played up front against Darlington last Saturday and notched the winner in a 1-0 victory.

It was a rare appearances in the starting line-up for the 24-year-old who missed six weeks earlier in the season to go on a special training programme designed to build him up for the rigours of Nationwide League Division Three football.

He had been complaining of tiredness with his performances also being affected by a lack of confidence.

Molby said: "He always been a good player and played well against Darlington. He hasn't had a lot of football so he was always going to be a little bit tentative and rusty.

"But there's no doubt in my mind that if he can continue and improve on his Darlington performance then it will be like signing a new player.

"He's very talented and has the ability of creating chances out of nothing. So I'm delighted, he's another option that we will have to the end of the season."

Record signing Ducros said: "Last Saturday was only my fifth start but, hopefully, now I can keep a regular place.

"If I can have a better second half to the season like I had in the first half of last season then hopefully it will push the team on to better things. Now we are in the play-off zone we have to look to stay there.

"After my fitness programme I played some reserve games but the first team were doing brilliantly."
