KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Jan Molby launched a stinging attack on goalkeeper Stuart Brock after he gifted promotion-chasing Luton Town three goals in last night's 4-1 Nationwide League Division Three defeat at Aggborough.

Brock's five minutes of madness shortly after half-time wrecked Harriers' hopes of moving into the play-off zone with the The Hatters taking full advantage to draw level on points with Plymouth Argyle at the top of the table.

Confidence-blitzed Brock's horror show enabled Joe Kinnear's side to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 lead and end shattered Kidderminster's bid to make it six home league wins in a row.

The hapless 'keeper's display in front of the biggest Aggborough attendance so far this season -- 4,147 -- left Molby fuming.

He said: "The goalkeeper made the mistakes and the worrying thing is that he's being doing that of late.

"There were two down at Exeter, one at Torquay and now three against Luton, so he needs a massive kick up the backside.

"He needs to get himself back in order and start playing as well as he had prior to him earning himself a new two-year contract."

Molby indicated that Brock would again be in goal to face Darlington at Aggborough on Saturday by saying: "He will play in the short term, but he has to play better than what he has been doing of late."

He added: "We deserved our goal because we were the better team, but we presented them with three goals in five minutes and I don't think I have ever seen anything like that in football before.

"That obviously gave Luton the confidence to start playing but prior to that they sat with 11 men behind the ball.

"We have seen that in the majority of games our squad will be strong enough but when you play against the better teams we might not be quite strong enough.

"If you are paying the money we are paying compared to what Luton pay then there has to be a difference in the end with the size and the quality.

"But I can't take anything away from my players. They have been magnificent over the last two months. I've told them there are enough teams in this league we can beat to maintain a play-off place and we have to bounce back on Saturday against Darlington."

Luton boss Kinnear said: "It's a really good win because to be fair to them, they've been in really good form. I thought we played exceptionally well after we went a goal down."
