A BEAUTIFUL north Cotswold garden is hosting an unusual exhibition to give ideas for gardens large or small.
Calligraphy, executed by craftsmen whose work is to be seen in the great British cathedrals and on public buildings, can also greatly enhance the smallest patch as can be seen at Mill Dene, Blockley, from now until August 31.
Owner Wendy Dare said: "Something beyond the usual range of poetry may catch the eye, for instance a piece of driftwood with a Latin tag saying: 'after so many shipwrecks, a harbour'.
"The reader sees a link between himself and the driftwood which has been to so many places unknown."
The 17 craftsmen who are taking part have about 40 artefacts on show in this wonderful setting.
Almost everything is for sale and commissions are gladly undertaken.
Entry to the exhibition is free with a garden entry of £3.
It is open with the garden from Monday to Friday between 10am and 6pm.
