Preceding the annual meeting, a cheque for £1,253 was presented to the centre by Councillor Mick Grinnall. The centre was one of the charities chosen by Mr Grinnall when he was Mayor of Stourport. The money was raised at his charity ball.
The management committee was returned en bloc, with the addition of Jean Giles of Trefoil Guild, and Betty Evans, representing Vernon Hall.
The nomination of Clive Hughes, representing Childline, will be referred to the management committee - chairman Elizabeth Mills, treasurer Mike Davis, secretary Margaret Cook and letting secretary Muriel Smith.
Annual reports were received from representatives of morning hosts, the luncheon club, afternoon hosts, 55 plus and the letting secretary.
Forthcoming events were highlighted, including a fund-raising table-top sale on Saturday from 10am until 12.30pm at the day centre.
The day centre is open to the senior citizens of Stourport, who can join the luncheon club and/or social activities.
