THERE will be lots of clowning around when a big top goes up at a Worcester leisure centre.
Following its sell-out success earlier this year, the National Clown Spectacular is making a return visit to Nunnery Wood Sports Centre, Spetchley Road.
The clowns, complete with full costume and make-up, perform in a tent put up inside the centre's main hall.
Circus lovers can also enjoy other acts, including magicians and tumblers.
Chief clown Charlie Cheesecake is promising "giggles galore" at the special event.
"In February, our Worcester show sold out, so we are back by popular demand," he said.
"It's a fun-filled family show with thrills, spills and lots of laughter."
"What's good about them is that they are authentic clowns, right down to their long shoes," said Simon Hawkin, from the leisure centre.
The National Clown Spectacular takes place on Thursday, August 22, from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Tickets cost £3.50, or £3 each for parties of 10 or more, and are available from 01384 423496.
