TWO care workers, who have clocked up half-a-century of service between them, have been rewarded by Worcestershire County Council's Social Services.
Long- serving home care assistant, Janet Evans, and care assistant and senior assistant, Nina Lewis, were presented with commemorative plates at a County Hall ceremony earlier this month.
Quality
Each recipient was recognised for at least 25 years of service and their commitment to improving the quality of life for people across the county was praised by Jennie Bashforth, director of Social Services.
"The various roles in social care are often difficult and demanding as well as rewarding," she said.
"It is a tribute to the quality of our staff that we are able to reward them for long service.
"Their work often goes unseen, but this is our opportunity to acknowledge our valued staff."
