DEFFORD Air Show will not take place this year, because of a late harvest at Croft Farm, where last year's show was held.
Run by Defford Model Flying Club, it included a mixture of sophisticated model and full-size aircraft.
It was so successful that organisers made provisional arrangements to have with another show this August.
Broccoli
This had to be called off when last year's wheat crop was replaced with broccoli, which is harvested later.
Unfortunately, the provisional date appeared in the Evening News What's On column on Friday, August 23.
"The crop is still being harvested and there is not enough space for car parking, so the show will not be possible," said club liaison officer Tom Murrant.
"We wouldn't want to inconvenience the farmer by having people turn up for a show that is not taking place."
