MUSIC was the medicine for patients and staff at Worcestershire Royal Hospital when a string quartet visited.
The hour-long music bonanza was organised to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
"The trust wanted to celebrate the Golden Jubilee in some way," said Janet-Marie Clark, spokeswoman for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
''We thought it would be nice to have concerts throughout the trust.
"There is one at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and one at Kidderminster General Hospital.
"The music is very uplifting and beneficial for patients, it's good for people and makes them feel better.
The Odyssey String Quartet staged their concert in the main open area in the hospital, so that staff and patients who were well enough could stop and listen.
