AVONCROFT CC's Sunday XI recorded a comfortable victory for the second week running, beating Birlingham Royals by eight wickets.
Good line and length was the key to Croft's victory as bowlers Martyn Cound, Jon Bird, Tim Cross and Ed Cunningham took the wickets to restrict the visitors for just 114 in 29 overs.
In reply, Avoncroft lost opener Dave Kendall early but never looked in any danger against the visiting bowling attack. Ade Fox and Matt Hare dug in, putting away the loose deliveries and playing shots all around the ground.
Hare went for 16 but Fox continued and took the hosts to victory with a majestic 73 not out.
