WORCESTER Nomads Third XI won the toss and put Belbroughton in to bat in their home game on Saturday and did well to hold the strong batting line-up to 198 all out, thanks primarily to excellent bowling by Ken Girling with 4-41 and Richard Watkins with 2-40.

Also notable was a series of excellent catches by Terry Birt in particular, away from his normal wicket-keeping duties, taking four, and also Alex Isaacs with two.
In reply, despite an excellent 83 from Isaacs, and solid support from Iain Brown with 30, Nomads were unable to reach their target, and with Field threatening to run through the tail (with 6-32) eventually Nomads did well to hold out for a draw.
