TERMINALLY ill children will benefit from tireless fundraising by a town women's group.
The Inner Wheel Club of Droitwich Spa, which is part of the Rotary movement, has collected £930 for Acorns Children's Hospice, in Worcester.
Past president Shirley Jones handed over the cash raised during her term of office to Acorns representative Chris Price at the group's September meeting, which was held at the Raven Hotel.
Mr Price said the money would help towards the cost of building a new hospice, which is scheduled to open to the public in 2004.
New Inner Wheel president Marion Neale has selected St Richard's Hospice, in Worcester, as her chosen charity for the coming year.
