ONLY seven per cent of physiotherapy outpatients at the Alexandra Hospital were kept waiting more than 10 minutes after their appointment time, a survey has revealed.
And 92 per cent of outpatients visiting the department reported an improvement in their health and more able to manage their conditions, despite being at different stages of their treatment plans.
The annual patient satisfaction survey of outpatient physiotherapy services, which also included Hillview and Elgar House GP practices, was carried out in June.
Patients were offered questionnaires to monitor their comments and opinions on the service provided by the department, which included those attending for cardiac rehabilitation, ultraviolet treatment, respiratory, neurological, gynaecological and obstetric as well as musculoskeletal conditions.
A total of 141 surveys were returned from 179 issued at the Alex - a return rate of 79 per cent.
