Wythall ladies won their second successive league title, winning Division Five of the Warwickshire Summer League.
Captained by Julie Gifford, the ladies remained unbeaten throughout the summer winning five and drawing two.
The team pipped Moseley by a point, forcing a draw away in the first fixture.
The first three matches were drawn and away from home.
The pairs were Julie and Bernadette Offerdal, now unbeaten in two years, and Nessie Stanton and Pat Brunt.
Stanton suffered a long-term shoulder injury which forced her out for the season.
The fourth match, again away, saw Helen Hill and Maureen Bridges become the second pair. Wythall won 3-1 with Hill and Bridges taking a rubber, never giving in and not finishing until 10pm.
The following four matches were at home where Wythall have an excellent record. The second pair for these matches was Helen and Pat Brunt. Helen has won the most doubles titles in the club's history.
Solihull Arden, Beechcroft and Streetly were beaten 4-0 with Julie and Bernie not dropping a set. The final match was against Boldmere who proved stern opposition. Helen and Pat lost to their number one pair, but still won 3-1.
Ladies club captain Maureen Bridges paid tribute to the squad and Julie's leadership for gaining promotion for the second successive year, and in particular Julie's partnership with Bernie.
The pair have not been beaten since their partnership began two years ago and as yet have not been taken to a third set.
Any ladies interested in playing can join in coaching and match play sessions every Saturday between 11am-12.30pm.
