PITCHEROAK Special School is sending pupils to a county coaching centre for footballers with disabilities.
The Redditch school is supporting the scheme, brought about by a partnership between the Worcestershire FA; University College, Worcester and Kidderminster Harriers Football in the Community.
Harriers Football in the Community officer Nick Griffiths coaches sessions for players with learning and physical disabilities, visual impairments and electric wheelchair users at the University College's Sports Hall, Henwick Road, Worcester.
And on Monday a course for coaches and teachers of disabled pupils will be held at the venue.
Modelled on the FA's Coaching Disabled Performers Course, it runs from 9.30am-3.30pm and costs £30 or £15 for those already coaching disabled youngsters.
And a group of girls from Pitcheroak were treated to a football evening by Action Sport.
The pupils had an Active Sports Programme coaching session, an evening meal from McDonalds and saw England under 19s take on Yugoslavia at Kidderminster Harriers' Aggborough Stadium with the Worcestershire FA donating tickets.
The Active Sports Programme is being run by Action Sport with the WFA and Redditch United Girls Football Club.
