WI adviser Marjorie Whiting conducted the voting at the annual meeting. After 13 years as present, Jill Jackson stood down.
The new president is Margaret Lillis, and Eileen Jones is now the secretary.
Mrs Jackson reported on the group meeting at Arley, and Barbara Austin gave a report on her own and Dorothy Hadwell's visit to Denman College. She urged members to take one of the numerous courses the college provides.
Freda Tilman organised a whist drive, and members were asked for items for the bazaar on November 16 in the Corn Exchange - doors will open at 9.30am.
The next meeting is on November 5 in Franche church hall, starting at 7.30pm, when the speakers will be Mr and Mrs Betts on The Living Countryside. The members' competition will be for a photograph of a country scene.
