FAIRFIELD Villa returned to league action with a goalless home stalemate with Loughborough.
Villa, who have played four cup matches in the last month, provided little by way of attack in the first half with the visitors looking more likely to score.
Villa picked themselves up in the second half but Loughborough still created several good chances.
Four opportunities came and went for Villa to take the lead. Visiting goalkeeper Richard Keeling twice saved well from Nathan Broadhurst.
