THE Woodrush side to face Powergen North Midlands Two league leaders Old Griffs on Saturday could have a strong Springbok flavour.
The Old Icknield Street side entertain Griffs in a friendly and skipper Paul Moore is set to introduce five new South African recruits who have yet to be registered for first team league action.
The newcomers, who have not been named, include two back rows, a centre, winger and second row, and will be lining up in an experimental side which will allow Moore to look at some of his promising second teamers.
Red tape is set to delay the overseas stars' availability for league action for around a month. A weakened Woodrush crashed 29-5 to Worcester Wanderers on Saturday to drop to sixth and injured skipper Moore said the scoreline could have been worse.
Woodrush return to league action the following Saturday at home to neighbours and league whipping boys Five Ways Old Edwardians.
