FIVE Ways Old Edwardians take a break from a dire start to the season when they play in the Second Round Midlands of the Powergen Junior Vase at the weekend.
But the respite could be in name only, with the Masshouse side drawn at home against a Bromyard side who whacked them 33-3 in their Powergen North Midlands One fixture earlier in the season.
Chris Sims' struggling side extended their losing streak to four league matches out of four with a 43-5 loss to fourth placed Upton at the weekend.
The injury-ravaged side are shipping an average of more than 50 points a game and have scored only 15 points in reply and are already four points adrift of the safety mark occupied by newly-relegated Stourport.
Sims' troops negotiated the opening round of the Vase with a narrow win over lower league Bournville but will not fancy their chances against Bromyard (ko 3pm).
