AS a Norwegian living in Worcester for a few months I have come to love this beautiful city.
I am sorry to say though that at times I feel very unwelcome.
There have been a number of occasions when, in my imperfect English, I have asked for directions and have often been ignored as though I did not exist.
In some circumstances I have received very unpleasant remarks from those whom you would not expect to behave in this way. In Norway, we try to welcome strangers as if they were our brothers and sisters.
I am only sorry that some residents of Worcester feel unable to extend the hand of friendship.
A PIEDGRANSEN,
Worcester.
