A FORMER Bromsgrove School student is missing following the bomb blasts in Bali.
Tom Holmes, aged 39, was taking part in a rugby tour on the Indonesian holiday island when two car bombs exploded outside a popular night club on Sunday.
To date 33 Britons have been reported dead and Tom's family, who live in Droitwich Spa, are now anxiously waiting for news.
The keen sportsman left the UK for Hong Kong seven years ago and he was among a number of expatriates touring with Hong Kong Football Club. It's feared many of his team mates are also dead.
The construction worker was a boarder at Bromsgrove School, in Worcester Road, for many years.
His brother Paul Holmes, of Droitwich, said: "The people in Hong Kong are continuing the search for Tom and he is still missing but from recent information we have received, we aren't expecting him back."
Donough Foley, spoke to the Advertiser/Messenger from the football club in Hong Kong.
He described Tom as an excellent sportsman and added: "He was the salt of the earth, you really couldn't meet a nicer person as he was always there to shake your hand and have a drink with you - he really couldn't do enough for people.
"Although he is still missing, there is always hope," added Mr Foley.
It's believed up to 200 people perished when two bombs detonated and sent a blast wave through a packed club.
