SPA parishioners have been giving a warm welcome to their new minister.
Rev Richard Barley is settling in nicely to his new post at Droitwich Spa Methodist Church, in Worcester Road.
The 48-year-old took over the position last month from Peter Hatton, who said a fond farewell to worshippers in July.
Rev Barley has moved to the Spa from Bristol where he was training to become a minister. Before that he ran a Christian project in Malvern.
The married father-of-two used to be a commercial director of a garage group in the London area before going into Christian work.
He has two daughters, one is currently in New Zealand travelling for a year and the other daughter is doing a degree in Cheltenham.
A delighted Rev Barley said: "Droitwich is a very friendly place and I have received a lot of support from townspeople.
"I plan to stay here for at least five years as that is the amount of time that you get posted for."
